| Character Registration TemplateCharacter Name: Chozuya Shoshinku Titles/Other Names: Known as "Chozuya the Worshipper" (clan) or "Red Knight" Age: 34 Species: Human Gender: Male Appearance: That beautiful face......Chozuya is gifted with what most people in the world would call a "beautiful, handsome face". Embodying the image of the Japanese man idol, Chozuya illuminates with striking features, such as a clean smooth forehead, elevated rhombus-shaped eye sockets an inch apart with gorgeous, orange, childish eyes that glitter like jewels. His eyes are particularly distinctive, giving off an innocent and pure impression to those who gaze into his mystical, almost magical pupils. They can brighten up, unveiling wonder in on themselves, too. Trapping women of all ages in his hypnotic stare, he can invite admiration, love, and jealously all at the same time wherever he goes. There are no bags under his eyes; Chozuya is not one to disregard his beauty sleep. Undarkened, human color. It is a strange, paradoxical conundrum to look into Chozuya's drums. One would think that he'd be a modest country boy, unfit for war or battle. To think that such a devious soul can reside inside him..... He has staunch, carefully groom eyebrows almost half-an-inch above his eyelids. His hard, pink-tipped nose droops down from his eyebrows by about three inches, carrying two small nostrils. Chozuya's cheeks are not chubby; rather they're flat and level along his face, fitting in with the rest of his facial complexture. His mouth bears a thin, light-pink upper lip that stretches across 2 inches and a flabby light-pink lower lip. The coveted gem of women, his lips are very kissable, and are often so perfectly shaped into a lovely, child-like smile, which is only glorified by his dozens of white enamel inside his mouth. His teeth when working in conjunction with the upper curve of his lips express his happiness to the other human beings in the world. Chozuya has an attractively round face and his skin sheathes the body in a pale-colored covering. Free from dimples and pimples. Not even freckles have invaded his light pearl texture. His ears are round and have tidy tunnels in them, in which you'd found mild amounts of wax, ear cavities, a cochlea, and the auditory tube. His ear exposes no dots or piercings; it's just a human ear. Chozuya's chin is pretty average. Overall, he has a very celebrated face. Now his hair, there is a thing between Shoshinku men. Chozuya has long black hair, allowing it to just grow out like many Japanese men, with only a minor stylistic approach to it to keep it from growing too long. White and black exists around his head, glued to each other like a yin-yang diagram, one representing the good-nature side of Chozuya, and the other representing his sin. But that is all coincidental, metaphorical talk. Several bangs can get in his face when wind is blowing through them, but usually his forehead is cleaned out of any hair, and that the long locks fall next to the farthest ends of his face near where his ears are. This all gives him a smooth and clean look, as hair - tendrils of dead cells, still can bring life to any human being. There's an inch-long slit on the top of his hair that leads to his forehead, as if his hair was running away from that little slit. The stripes that fall on the sides of his face are about a foot long, reaching down from right above his temples to where his collarbone is. The back of his hair is tied up into a feminine ponytail (although there is no ambiguity in gender) by a blue band which falls down to a few inches below the back of his neck. If allowed to fall freely, it would reach down almost to his waist area. Touch his hair, and you can't help but find yourself lost in its silk-like touch and gracious allure. He has a pretty, pale neck with a small Adam's apple. A flat collar like any other. Chozuya is relatively thin; his figure orderly and proportionate. There is no noticeable fat flab from his chest; in fact, it's more muscular and toned than skinny down to the bones. From his neck down to his waist is a little more than two feet and the width of his chest is roughly one foot. Although not a heavy one, his chest can take a lot of beatings before whatever is inside is ready to give out. Pale in color, holding two brownish nipples, Chozuya has little to no chest hair - most of which is in his belly button anyway. On the other side, his back, is also of equal fit, presenting a long, thin press right under which is his spine. One ca easily feel the bone around Chozuya's ribs. His arms are slender, neat and 2.7 feet from where his shoulders are. They have some noticeable muscle to them, but physical exertion was never Chozuya's forte. The pale limbs open up to his palm, where you can see the lines, and linear shades of blue that are his veins. Soft to the touch, five finger digits that are fun to play with extend, showcasing red-painted fingernails that are pointy to the touch. Equipped with two walking limbs, legs and feet are where Chozuya shows his physical prowess; through speed and agility. Exceedingly skilled at dodging and running, Chozuya's legs are pretty long and have significant muscle tone. His joints and ligaments in particular are in perfect coordination with each other; the innate anatomy able to rotate at many times at any given time interval to maximum the use of his athletic legs. Featuring no flab or fat, his legs are the very elite of his body, the cream of the crop. There's also no hair! He shaved it all off! He has somewhat large feet with toes and toenails. His ass is alright; buttcheeks never growing any more than they should that people behind him would eye him every time. Chozuya seems to have an average build, standing at a good 6'1" tall. What a beautiful prince....There is no singular costume to be described here; Chozuya likes to wear bodywear of different colors. Due to the clan's characteristic of wearing kimonos, Chozuya has three distinct ones. One is his blood-red kimono with a light silk fabric and bolded black trims along the edges that overlap on his torso. This uniform covers down to his ankles. The legging panels which is strapped by a black obi covers everything down to his ankles. He wears white socks and wooden sandals. The next outfit consists of a blue, light kosode and blue hakama; often worn during training sessions or physical exercise. Covering his bare legs, the hakama reaches down to his ankles. He would wear white socks along with black leather shoes. The kosode offers some breathing space where his collar is and a couple of inches down. His last favorite style of clothing is multi-colored. He sports a long green haori-vest with a "tail" in the rear that flows down to the back of his knees. This haori has visual images of sakura, pink flowers, and roses all over it. This stylish haori spikes up right below the shoulder areas, to make it look like a thick vest. This is to be placed upon a dark green kosode, under which is a white shitagi. He'd wear blue ninja leggings with white socks and wooden sandals. Typical of the clan, Chozuya can don a rather thick straw hat. His ninja pouches are located alongside his hips. Walking on the earth with his Shoshinku clan, Chozuya exudes the aura of a "Dragon Prince"; rich, luxurious, beautiful, and deceptively innocent-looking. - Spoiler:
Personality: Great men in legends are known as heroes, conquerors, leaders, or sages. Often, are they painted by the colors of corruption, and end up being arrogant, atrocious brutes without honor. Chozuya holds a fragment of that greatness. He is no leader, Chozuya is more of a fighter - a soldier for the commander of the troops. Despite being held up by his clan, Chozuya finds himself to be a lone wolf, allowing the clouds of life and nature to take him where he needs to be. Calm, nice, and remarkably kind; Chozuya is a low-key individual who harbors great, warming generosity to those around him, especially his fellow brothers and sisters. He often smiles even in depressed situations, providing comfort to those in despair. He is a cheerful man who likes to make small talk with his clansmen before going into deep conversations. Friendliness is a characteristic trait of his - it's almost impossible for him not to be approachable, unless he is facing a hostile enemy or is has to take action to kill a target. He can easily boost the morale of his clan. It is important to note that Chozuya not only cherishes the bandits who are his family, but also everyone in general. No exception - all lives are equal. The only thing to him that's important as life is the passing on to death. He is an almost.... rabid obsession with life and death... the throes of combat... Things change when combat is involved. Morals, thoughts, and logic are distorted in the heat of battle. Here, Chozuya is more serious, instinctively tuning into clan warfare as if he was born to fight in it. He is more mellow, but there is also a quiet sympathy he shares with his enemies. And this is where Chozuya's horror comes into fruition. His generosity and kindness is pushed beyond the borders of "extreme", dwelling into the realms of severe abnormality. Seeing his enemies as lives already lost, he can only help set their spirits free and beautifully enter heaven. He will do whatever it takes to kill them, and once he does so - the blood ritual begins. He becomes unrecognizable at this point, with a fanatical face and practically painting himself in the enemy's blood, as he drives bladed liberators into his opponent's corpse, mutiliating it until the spirit can no longer inhabit its material shell. Only when success occurs, will Chozuya Shoshinku be truly happy, and know his raison d'etre. Aware of the existence of the two "men" that are inside him, Chozuya is conflicted with which one is the real him. He cannot comprehend why he has two faces - he just puts one on whenever it's necessary. He is bothered by a case of cognitive dissonance, and has to find facts, alter beliefs, or change thinking in order to maintain one "Chozuya" only. A bloody freak and a nice guy shinobi cannot exist in two bodies at once. One has to go, and the other has to stay. Such is the way of his life as he journeys to find himself while as an important member of the Shoshinku clan; Amiable, leniant, sometimes goofy, sinful, unhinged - One can only wonder what Chozuya Shoshinku would make of himself, and how he would meet his fateful end..... Background/History: The Boy of the Bloodbath: - Spoiler:
A chozuya is a sacramental site where Shinto worshippers use water basins to purify themselves prior to religious engagement. How an ablution rite could look like a realization of a Satanic prophecy, one cannot know. But it was here, in the Land of Grass, that baby Chozuya was born. Unable to find a more suitable place, the mother's water bed broke while his parents were out in the hills and the nearby Shinto temple - with priests and all, were really a good place to go for help with pregnancies. Settled right on top of one of the temple's chozuya, the priests immediately made efforts to see through the birth of a new life. After a hard labor and as blood spittered from the mother's rear holes, dyeing the water below into a crimson red - quite a scary thing for the Shinto priests at the time, baby Chozuya slipped out... and was born. To give thanks to the priests' help; although the shrine was not dedicated to one god, his father named his son "chozuya" and hoped that he may grow up to be a pure, moral man.
Hand him over.... He did not enjoy his time with his family long enough to develop feelings of love for them. At the age of three, little Chozuya was taken away from his parents by an elder couple skilled in the use of ningu, or ninja tools. They were distant neighbors from Chozuya's parents, and wanted the boy for themselves, finding him "attractive" from the many times they were introduced to him. In a time where large-scale organization was absent and power resided within clans, so long as the couple had their arms pointed at Chozuya's parents, they could do anything they want. Helpless then, he was swiflty taken away under the night of a red sky.... onto a town in the far outskirts of the Land of Grass, raised by the couple that kidnapped him.
They were surprisingly kind to Chozuya, whose name they kept. It was a good psychological tool, as well. As the baby knows that only his birth name is given by his parents, calling him by that name would distort his own perception of who his birth parents really are - hopefully. But regardless, Chozuya did not forget, but he did not really care. As said before, the family was remarkably kind to him. They treated him as if he were their real son, clothed him, fed him, didn't kept him locked up or anything, and was allowed to roam around the house. Chozuya often witnessed his "father" practicing shurikenjutsu, as well as with things like senbon and kunai. He already knew what these things "were", but didn't know "why" they were being used. So he asked his dad. His father replied, "to hurt people. That is the only reason". His father showed him the blades of the ninja tools, and explained to him that it was for the sole purpose of drawing blood. He taught Chozuya how to properly utilize all of these ninja weapons to protect himself, but his father never stated that the purpose of these things were for self-defense. Ninja tools were born from and always die in battle.
Curious about the places around his town, Chozuya liked to wander alot, and especially liked to run through the forest. He never did mind being taken away from his real parents. He just never develop a real bond with his true parents, and the ones who took him away did it because they wanted him and treated him kindly. What more could he ask for? As he grew up, Chozuya was relatively competent in the use of shurikens and kunai. He even gave himself a personal test of how far he could throw a projectile; record was ten meters.
Under a red sky, when Chozuya was eight, his life changed once more. Returning from the forest, he saw that his home was set ablaze; immolated by fire. When he manuevered through the hot embers and demonic flames, he would find a party of mercenaries had come to town, planning to pillage and ransack the place for money, food, and medicine. His parents resisted their attack, so they were dragged away for public execution. Chozuya yelled and ran to them, but before they could turn around and see that their son was there, they were swiftly beheaded. Blood flew everywhere, a few blots landing on Chozuya's face. But he was not sad. Strangely, he did not feel any kind of hurtful emotion at the sight of their death. He was lost and confused. When one of the mercs approached him, Chozuya reacted instinctively by pulling out a couple of shuriken and kunai and throwing them at the men. The guy pulled out his arm which was protected by metal guards to block it, but one of the shurikens landed with precision on his chin. The guy went and smashed Chozuya on the side and then knocked him out. Seeing the child, the head of the group decided to adopt him into their party. There was no need to kill anymore.
He did not harbor any resentment towards the men who attacked his home. It was so strange. No anger or acts of vengeance. In fact, he adjusted quickly to them. Some of the memories of his former parents even faded away. It was as if he witnessed complete strangers die before him. Tormented by his own lack of despair and vindictiveness, Chozuya thought that he had a few screws loose in his head. Something must be wrong with him, if he felt no pain in his heart whatsoever. He was left alone by the group; there were other boys that they took in as well. There was this one day just three weeks after becoming part of the mercs, Chozuya killed a deer using a pile of wooden sticks and a bunch of kunai. A few mercs who passed by saw that Chozuya took the deer back calmly. They remarked how the other kids would either be in tears or look around, reacting nervously, with deep guilt that they killed an animal larger than them at such a young age. The first signs of human morality about life and death. Talks spread around. Maybe Chozuya really did have a few screws loose in his head. He had no qualms about killing.
Over the next year, Chozuya actually became a vital decoy in the merc group's plans. An increasing number of men emphasized with the boy and told him many things about life. Eventually, he opened up as a person and found delight just in traveling across large distances. He was exposed to their basic war tactics and combat procedures, allowing him insight in what strategic warfare was like. He often stole food from public markets and had to run back to the camp. Some of the men not only knew how to utilize chakra, but also perform ninjutsu. To make the group more powerful, they would try to pass on the art of hand seals + chakra molding. Two of the boys succeeded already. It took Chozuya a grand amount of training to be able to form and manipulate chakra.... and a whole six months before he could perform basic E-ranks like the Henge no Jutsu, Bunshin no Jutsu, and Kawamiri. Mr. Shoshinku- Spoiler:
Chozuya's band of men stalked out in the Rain Country, given the task of taking out a member of a lesser shinobi clan. Plans at the ready and weapons prepared, it seemed like it was going to be another successful attack. But it wasn't. For despite the tactics they used, they were out-tactic'ed by another group - a shinobi clan, who was also raiding the same target. The two groups got into a devastating conflict with each other. Claymores, mines, and explosives were tossed around everywhere on the wet battlefield where blood permeated like a gas; a red darkness that covered the earth where carcasses rested. The mercs were losing quickly, unable to fend off the array of superior firepower and battle experience that the other clan possessed. Men were killed rapidly. One time, Chozuya witnessed one guy who was wounded getting ready to counter-attack. But before he could go out there.... he slumped to the floor. There was a blood needle that stuck out of his eye - penetrating into his brain. While his group was being destroyed, a few members of the warring clan saw Chozuya. Seeing that they were lowlifes, bandits who came from the bottomless pits of the planet, Chozuya knew that he had to fight. He weaved handseals and performed the Clone Jutsu. The clansmen remarked how the boy could utilize jutsu, and knew that they had to adopt him into their family. In five seconds flat, Chozuya was outmatched and crushed, slowly passing out as he laid there looking up. That was the last red sky he saw in his life....
Five minutes after he woke up, a man shrouded in shadowy darkness entered the room. It was a nice room. Decent, clean, and with walls and windows. The man not only informed Chozuya that his family was annihilated, but also the clan that they were targeting were also raided by his own clan. It was unfortunate that the two raiding parties had to meet with the same target in mind, but the world is filled with such bloody struggles. The man, smoking a pipe, introduced himself as "Mr. Shoshinku", the leader of the Shoshinku clan that took his brothers away from him. With great charisma, the man said that he needed boys like Chozuya, who would fight for the sake of the clan. To be part of the family.
Chozuya still felt nothing. Memories of the mercs that he was with only hours ago slowly became a fade, as if all this time, he was traveling with complete strangers who he has never uttered a word to. Lost, he couldn't do anything but to be accepted into the Shoshinku clan. The man saw the submission in the child, and stretched forward, revealing his old, aged face to Chozuya. "Now you see, don't you..." he said. A few days later, a couple of men disappeared. Chozuya heard that one of them was an old man who was a quack, who was losing his mind anyway and spreading urban legends and falsified folk tales to the younger members of the clan. As he became accustomed to the clan, Chozuya realized how similar it was to his former family. Bandits, vagabonds, assassins, thieves; people who made a living by taking from others. He could fit right in here. Quickly becoming part of the family, Chozuya also became a skilled thief, and was especially talented in running and dodging. Over the next few years, he would develop a nasty habit of cutting himself... for no apparent reason anyway, while he was trying to fit in with his fellow brothers and sisters...
"Fuka"- Spoiler:
There was a girl he admired named Fuka who was also part of the Shoshinku clan. She had a pretty face, red eyes, and black hair in that typical schoolgirl hair style; carefully trimmed tresses of hair dangling and neatly trimmed bangs right on the forehead. He would always see her making hats for the members of the clan. During this time period from ages 10 ~ 18, Chozuya was seriously being trained as a shinobi, which he was taught to mean a fighter, warrior, or soldier for the clan, but would later come to learn that shinobi was a centuries old military class system, and that the current state of affairs is where the term originated from. Chozuya was introduced to a series of priming and conditioning exercises involving water (especially rivers), so as to influence a psychological effect that would sway Chozuya's locked elemental nature, which was located in the heart, towards the Suiton affinity. There were a few occasions where Chozuya would see Fuka collecting scores of rocks with other girls her age. His sensei would also scowl him for gawking at the girls when he should be paying attention.
When he was able to discover his Suiton affinity, he became learning Suiton Ninjutsu. At first, he rapidly came to get the hang of the D-rank and C-rank ones, but he struggled immensely with anyone jutsu higher than that. They were too difficult, too complex for a premature mind like his. But then, while learning how to create his own large water pool, Fuka would sit by at a distance, watching Chozuya train. Fuka's presence had an encouraging effect on chozuya. He didn't know why. Normally he'd feel some sort of awkward pressure, but the pressure he felt was the desire to be better and succeed. This time, executing handseals at the right speed, he was able to draw out the greater portion of chakra that he previously could not, and out came a raging plash of water. He was very proud of himself for being able to do that, and naturally looked over to Fuka to celebrate his success with. But she was gone.
As he got older and it became clear that his Ninjutsu skills were up to par, Chozuya was thoroughly trained in hand to hand combat and handling ningu. His coaches were tough on him, as their rogue bodies were battle-hardened. Veterans of intense combat. These bandits did not play around. Always more of a runner than a brawler, it took Chozuya a year to gain some decent musculature on him; although, he was always known for his leanness and length. Anyway, Fuka would always visit and watch him during his Taijutsu regimes and ningu practice, but this time she sat closer to him. That boosted his progress, allowing him to endure more hardships and exert more force. Chozuya focus was primarily on being a speedster. He always did like to run fast while jumping whatever obstacle was in his way with impressive agility and footwork. But he developed more of his sprinting and long-distance ability in his thief life, where he had to make split-second decisions stealing and making his escape. Anyway, when Fuka's there, he'd find himself empowered with more muscular exertion force and faster reaction ability (and accuracy). The phenomenon is true even when he's trying to increase his speed. The thought of circling back to his spot where Fuka would be waiting has an exciting impact on his stamina.
Around the time he turned 16, after becoming adept in various areas of ninja arts, he finally walked up to Fuka and talked to her. Asking her why she always comes by and watches him without saying a word, Fuka would say, "Someone might need me". The teenage Chozuya took it to heart that this girl might actually like him. From that first conversation, the two would often be together on a daily basis. Sneaking out to places in nearby towns, folding clothes together, and just talking about the field of ninjutsu, its history, and finally; each other. Chozuya told her his life story. His birth parents, the parents who raised him, the mercs who taught him, until he is now a part of the Shoshinku clan, a ninja master himself. Chozuya also learned about Fuka as well. She recounted how she was told how a Shoshinku clan raped her mother who was held captive for a couple of years now, and she gave birth right in front of the father. Fuka's birth killed her mother. She was raised by the women of the clan, and never even saw her father once. But it didn't matter, because when she was a child, she saw the most beautiful thing in the world. Once, she left the clan household and traveled to the outskirts of the Land of Rain. She didn't know why she left or how she walked as long as she did, but she wary and tired, she stumbled on a corner of the world where there was beautiful, glowing rain. Rain of different colors coming down, and it renewed her strength. She was completely dazzled by the assortment of imagery, and what cemented it was the corpse of a bird. She saw its spirit fly out and up to the sky. Fuka told that she could never forget how beautiful the bird looked, with its wings all spread out, its majestic happiness, and how one can find loving beauty in death.
Nearing the age of 17 for both of them, Fuka asked Chozuya to leave the clan with her. She desired another life away from the family she grew up in. They were bandits, vagabonds, lowlifes. Truly, men with no future. The Shoshinku will one day be brutalized by a stronger clan like the Uchiha or Senju. If they leave, they can depart to a world with hope. A world with a future for them. Chozuya hesitated. He was unsure. Even after reasoning with himself and the affection he had for Fuka, he did not want to leave his clan. His memories with them were too strong, too strong to be erased. He wanted to die with and for them. Chozuya refused, saying that he cannot, and said no more. From this day forward, Chozuya could not remember what Fuka's face looked like when she heard his answer. What heart-breaking, pain-staking facial expression could there be. How massive the reaction to rejection would look like; displayed on a pretty woman's face. The number of nights of none-stop tears. He cannot remember any of that. And just when his ability to recollect was getting better, too.
All he knew is that the next day, Fuka committed suicide. While walking into the forest near the clan household, he found her cold body right under the trees. Chozuya was devastated. More than that. He was destroyed and crushed. He finally felt some emotion, compared to those times where he was just empty; blankly lost and confused. He could never forget what she looked like dead, because he knows he's responsible. And he can never forgive himself for killing this... special, beautiful girl who was there with him as he got stronger. Regrets for not treating her right. Chozuya stopped talking about her for the rest of his life, with his most precious memory being the image of the spirit of the dead bird ascending to the sky. My Life is Mine: - Spoiler:
The time was ripe when Chozuya turned 18. He was a rising star, gaining a reputation among the clan for his quick footwork and precise reflexes in manipulating Water Style while running. It was particularly his ability to coordinate and multi-task was it agreed by the men of the clan to teach him the ways of the Shoshinku Blood Manipulation. It took him forty days and forty nights to be able to grasp this deadly secret. The forbidden taboo that was sealed inside the scroll was made known to him, trapping him along with the other prisoners of the Shoshinku blood curse. His mastery over Suiton perfected, Chozuya was taught to concentrate on microscopic, abstract things - things he cannot see. He must imagine and visualize in his mind. And then... he must move it around. That is the most basic step of the Shoshinku's Hiden technique, those who are unable to do this cannot replicate it. He had to practice manipulating the blood plasma inside red blood cells, channeling his mastery over the Suiton element to do so.
After long, tiring sessions, a worn out Chozuya saw blood moving in the air from the small cut he made in his skin. he could FEEL it. He could sense the blood plasma, and therefore, even get a taste of blood itself in his mouth. The feeling could have driven Chozuya mad. The madness of blood and blood of madness. He learned to be creatively versatile in the blood arts. Hardening, expanding, compressing; the various applications one can execute was truly infinite. He learned how to make the right cuts on himself, and how to properly draw his own blood from his own body - aware of the drawbacks of the clan's "blood-bending". The ways in which he can proficiently draw his blood and the ease of doing so were so numerous, that it is said that there is no place on his body where blood cannot seep out at a moment's notice. But he also learned how to manipulate blood without drawing it. This is especially useful for Taijutsu and manipulating his own body capabilties to a degree. Throw that in with his Suiton Ninjutsu and weaponry abilities, and Chozuya quickly became able to defeat shinobi on the level of what the mass village era would call "Jounin".
His Life Was His. Literally, by being able to control the blood that is within him, he was controlling his own liquid life. And by that extension, other people's lives were also his, because he can control their liquid life - if it's willing to come out of course. Practicing like he was doing some sort of voodoo dance, he became very fine-tuned to his blood that floated around the air at his control, until one day.... he saw his own spirit reflected in the blood. Tempted by his blood's sudden luster.... he drank it. Metallic. But then he became....juicy. Sensational! Chozuya's eyes widened as a shark would when the frenzy smell of human blood was just 5 inches away from it. He felt real bloodlust now. The ache to murder. It was the taste of his own life did he learn to seek the taste of other's lives, and began the string of abnormalities that would begin when he turned 25....
By the time he was 23, after several years of solid training and his own practice, Chozuya mastered the Hiden Blood Manipulation skill at a level beyond what most Shoshinku clan members are capable of. His skills were reputed to be "prodigious". He developed his signature "Bee in the River" that made him one of the deadlier fighters in the history of the clan. During his early adult years were also the first times he had entered real, intense wars with other clans. A series of conflicts and skirmishes via random confrontations or calculated attacks. As he had inherited the clan's specialties and abilities in every way, Chozuya employed his combat abilities on actual battlefields throughout the Land of Rain, Grass, Sound, Fire, and Earth - over terrains in snow, cold, warmth, grass, plains, rockies, and even mountains. He did not make any actual rivals, as many of them were from lesser, hardly known shinobi clans. The most prominent ones were the Uchiha and the Hyuuga. I Murder, So I Love- Spoiler:
During a battle with the Ringetsu clan, a very powerful shinobi clan that can manipulate electricity including within their body, Chozuya and a fellow Shoshinku brother were forced to take refugee in an abandoned ruins a distance from the main battle. His brother, heavily injured and no doubt will be facing death soon, looked at Chozuya with innocent eyes, before they turned pale and lifeless. Chozuya watched as he could have sworn that he saw a ghostly "haze" surrounding his dead brother's body. He watched for five minutes, but could see that it would not go away. Chozuya came to the conclusion.... that his spirit wanted to escape but could not. He didn't know what to do... but he knew that he COULD do. He can manipulate blood - the lifeline of lives. Perhaps he could manipulate the border between life and death, too then? He had the duty to free his brother onto the next world, a world not as cruel as this one. He emptied his brother's body of all of his blood. Using that, he ingested a sip into his system.... and just went FRANTIC! The body in the middle of a puddle of blood, Chozuya formed a symbol around it. it started with a big circle - representing equality among all lives. Next, is what seems to be a rectangle.... with curved corners inside that circle, touching its circumference. The body fitted in perfectly within that rectangle, which is actually in the shape of ryo. Money represented greed, and lust. And then what was drawn inside that rectangle was what looked like a circle.... or perhaps a heart? No, a closer look at the edges say that it was the shape of an apple. It represented life. Here, began Chozuya's bloody ritual. He recognized that all lives were equal, but he had a greed for their lives. And their life was in their blood. What is taken shall be received. He covered himself completely in all of the victim's blood - the beautiful prince dragging himself down to the pits of sin. Or was he a hero... saving their deaths now that their lives have been lost? He went ham-crazy. Getting down on his knees, he would practically "play" on the blood symbol as a pig would swim in mud, all while bringing down a dagger on his brother's body, hoping to set his spirit free. He was do this ritual for two hours straight.... before he went back on his knees, his skin entirely drenched in liquid life. The taste of which was immortalized in his mouth. When his clansmen found him, they could see calmness in his eyes. He explained what had occurred, with blood all over him and his brother's bloodless corpse. Days later, rumors would begin surrounding Chozuya. He was secretly nicknamed "The Worshipper" within the clan. But that was not true. To worship is to show religious devotion to a god. His own personal ritual was both for himself, and as a generous gift so that other people can enjoy death when life cannot be given to them.
He would perform this ritual in front of everyone in his clan against one of the members of a rivaling clan. Upon leaving him near-dead, Chozuya would form the blood circle and then begin impaling the man to death while squirming and kicking around him. The man died in the first stroke. That frightened and shocked everyone, that their beautiful, childish Chozuya would embrace the darkness of a cult. But cults had nothing to do with it. Chozuya Shoshinku- Spoiler:
The great battle came when he turned 28. Uchiha Kinsoku. A man whose ability, power, and skill were said to have rivaled the renegade Uchiha Itachi. He was in possession of the Mangekyou Sharingan, capable of utilizing the same three great doujutsu that Itachi used. Fighting alongside a riverbed, the two men engaged in a deathmatch. While Uchiha Kinsoku was not certain of Chozuya's abilities - after all blood manipulation was a rare clan secret that was said to even be a myth, Chozuya had heard tales of the MS's power. Black flames. An eternal illusionary world that can warp reality. And a chakra summon that can be used for offense and defense. Chozuya capitalized on the lack of knowledge on Kinsoku's part, by never showing off anything regarding blood manipulation. Slowly, Kinsoku believed it- after all his body wasn't being manipulated and the blood that was shed thus far did not move in the slightest bit. Chozuya attempted to drown Kinsoku, but Kinsoku was able to avoid getting dragged by the water with his reflexes and speed. At one point, Chozuya was kicked hard that he was sent flying a dozen meters, coughing up blood. Finally, finding Chozuya to be a pest of the "no-good Shoshinku clan", he revealed an ability of his MS: Amaterasu. That was when things took a turn. As Kinsoku was surrounded by black flames, something that would no doubt race towards Chozuya to incinerate him to ashes, Chozuya saw that the man's eye was bleeding. That was a condition for the MS. Showing his clan's ability for the first time in the 40 minutes they've been fighting, he thoroughly skewered Chozuya's eyeball, which also cancelled the black flames that would have erased him. Hurt and anger, Kinsoku also lost the ability to use his Susanoo. But before Kinsoku could recover and try another technique on Chozuya, Chozuya had launched the Bursting Water Collision Waves technique at him, thoroughly blindsiding him from seeing Chozuya (so he can't use genjutsu like Tsukiyomi) and overwhelming him. Kinsoku was pushed back by the current, but eventually he was able to regain balance and get back up. Katon would not be efficient against a water user. And with his eye to eye coordination gone, weaponry and direct combat would also be tricky. Kinsoku's defeat was at hand. Because Chozuya had mixed the blood he coughed up earlier into the water he spewed out, and combining that with the blood from his destroyed Sharingan, Chozuya was able to keep a compressed, hardened ball of blood hiding out within the water stream.... It levitated out of the water.... and flew like a dart from Kinsoku's right side (blind spot) right at his head! Plump! Kinsoku fell down; a bullet of life flew through his head and took his life with him. The Bee in the River had succeeded. For his defeat over Kinsoku, he earned his moniker the "Red Knight", for his signature red-garbed clothing and tales of his blood capabilities.
When he returned, he found out that a new leader had emerged. Choku Shoshinku. The long lost son, who had returned. Chozuya accepted him. He looked strong. He looked like a man. Like a brother. He would develop a good relationship with the new leader Choku, having seen him lead fearlessly in the heat of battle and dominate the battlefield with his incredible skills. It would be very hard for Chozuya to see Choku die in battle - right in front of him. A person so strong would surely go long. And grasp a better future.
As he aged, his "blending" with the clan grew. He was respected as a strong warrior for the Shoshinku clan, to be respected as well as feared in the clan, and to its enemies. He diffused into the clan's culture and ranks completely, able to get along with his fellow brothers and sisters. Chozuya is still on his own quest though. As he grows stronger, acquiring more skills, he sets on his own journey - to find himself. The things that had occurred to him and the men that he has become. Who is the real him? Perhaps, one day, as he helps other people carry onto the next world... he can find peace in himself...
