Name: Jūgo Curse Mark Rank: B Chakra Cost: 50 Force: None Type: Fuuinjutsu, Sage Transformation KKG Element: None Hand Signs: None Range: Touch to apply, Personal in effect Requirements: Be born into the Jūgo clan, have it applied to you Description: This curse mark is placed upon newborn Jūgo children hand, as a way to help them manage their clans Kekkei Genkai. Once it is placed, it automatically starts to absorb any natural energy that the body absorbs. Due to this, the level of natural energy stays constant throughout the Jūgo's body, preventing both an influx of natural energy, and the rage that it causes. It also actually impedes the body's ability to absorb natural energy, lowering it to 10% of its normal value (for Jūgos, that means their body only absorbs 2 natural energy units per post). Unfortunately, the curse mark does have it's limit, and is only able to store 2000 units of natural energy, which upon time that that limit is reached, the curse mark 'breaks', and releases that 2000 units, and causing the Jūgo to fly into a rage, and automatically go into Sage Transformation State Two (see Jūgo Clan for more info). Unfortunately, when the curse mark 'breaks', not only is the filter on the amount of natural energy removed, their body actually starts to absorb more natural energy, raising the amount to 30, which would mean from that point on, they are stuck in Sage Transformation State Two, until their death. A minor secondary ability of the curse mark, is for the ability of the Jūgo Crystal Ball (in the hands of the Jūgo Clan leader at the Jūgo Anbu compound) to not only sense where they are, but to also detect whether or not the curse mark has broken, and actually alerts the crystal ball if it is close to breaking (1900 or more natural energy units). Upon this point, a Jūgo Anbu shinobi would be sent out, to bring peace to the Jūgo member. How it looks Once the curse mark reaches 100 units, small, faint lines start to radiate out of the mark. For ever 100 units after the lines start to become more defined, and darken. Once it reaches 1000 units, the lines start to travel up the arm. Once it reaches 1500 units it starts to travel across the chest. Once it reaches 1900 units, the mark starts to actually burn, causing pain. It hurt the most at the site of the mark, and as it travels the lines it starts to dull. Once it reaches 2000 units, the pain is agonizing. Once the curse mark 'breaks' the two halves come to together, creating a circle, and the circle turns pure white; which clearly stands out against the light or dark grey hue that the skin takes once transformed. The lines start to radiate with natural energy, causing them to lightly glow green. At this point, all the curse mark does, is show the position of the person to the Jūgo Crystal Ball. Now, there is a way to 'break' the curse marks before it reaches 2000, by simply focusing your regular chakra into it, which breaks it as it is not made to hold regular chakra. The chakra cost to do this, is the same to place it, 50. Doing so not only causes the effects of a normal breaking (rage, followed by constant stage two) but it shows up in the Jūgo Crystal Ball as a purposeful break, and the Jūgo Anbu would send an entire team to get you. Unless you had a good reason (defending clan, family, etc.) the Jūgo Anbu would kill you on the spot, and dispose of your body. But, for those reasons they deem worth it, the mark could be reapplied, at which point it would filter your natural energy absorption (for Jūgo back down to 2), and then they'd simply restrain you until you exausted the natural energy supply in your body (which would cause exhaustion, see Jūgo Clan for more info). If you break the mark a total of three or more times, no matter what the reasons, the Jūgo Anbu will kill you, deeming you unable to keep yourself safe. If one where to nullify the mark in some way (removal, placing a higher powered curse mark, or altering the curse mark in anyway), it also appears on the Jūgo Crystal Ball, though it is clear that it is a nullification, and an entire Jūgo Anbu team is sent. Now, when this mark is placed upon someone, the knowledge of how the mark is made is also passed on. This does mean they can use that knowledge, as only one with training in Fuuinjutsu can apply it, but it does mean all Jūgo have the knowledge of this jutsu, meaning all born Jūgo get this as a 'free' jutsu (they can not use until the reach the appropriate Fuuinjutsu level. Note: This applies to anyone that this mark is applied to, see below.Notes: First off, this mark only SEALS the natural energy, does not store it, MEANING, besides breaking it, there is no other way to gain access to the natural energy. Also, though this mark is placed upon those who are born into the Jūgo clan, a Jūgo shinobi with Fuuinjutsu training, could place it upon a non-clan user of natural energy. In that case, it would have all of the same effects (10% natural energy absorption, no access to natural energy, knowledge of how to apply the curse mar). In this case though, when the curse mark breaks, either through will or reaching 2000 units, it simply surges the body with natural energy, and causes no raging. Now, when it comes to the Jūgo Crystal Ball, they actually would show, and if they broke the mark, it would show up as if a normal Jūgo member broke their mark.Drawbacks: The largest drawback to this curse mark, is being unable to use any senjutsu, or any of the Sage Transformation KKG jutsu. The second is the rage if it would break. The final is the Jūgo Anbu always knowing where you are. Combination with other techs: None
- Jūgo Shinobi Curse Mark :
Name: Jūgo Shinobi Curse Mark Rank: A Chakra Cost: 90 Force: None Type: Fuuinjutsu, Sage Transformation KKG Element: None Hand Signs: None Range: Touch to apply, Personal in effect Requirements: Be born into the Jūgo clan and choose the Shinobi life path, have it applied to you Description: Upon their eighth birthday, a Jūgo decides if their want to be a shinobi or choose a trade. For those who pick up the path of the Shinobi, the curse mark that they have had from birth is removed, and replaced with another one. This new one functions similarly to the Jūgo Curse Mark, but allows access to the natural energy for senjutsu. Once it is placed, it automatically starts to absorb any natural energy that the body absorbs. It also slightly impedes the body's ability to absorb natural energy, lowering it to 75% of its normal value (for Jūgos, that means their body only absorbs 15 natural energy units per post). 50% (rounded up) of that value (for Jūgos, that means 8 natural energy units per post) gets stored within the curse mark. Unfortunately, the curse mark does have it's limit, and is only able to store 500 units of natural energy, which upon time that that limit is reached, the curse mark activates, and releases that 500 units (which would add to what ever amount was currently stored within the body), and causing the Jūgo to fly into a rage, and automatically go into Sage Transformation State Two (see Jūgo Clan for more info).When the curse mark activates, the filter on the amount of natural energy removed, furthering the amount of time they are trapped in Sage Transformation State Two. Once the user has exhausted their supply of natural energy, the curse mark goes dormant; the filter is once more in place, the mark absorbs natural energy, and the cycle begins again. The second main ability, is that this curse mark stores the natural energy, allowing for a Jūgo to use Jūgo KKG jutsu without risking using too much of their own natural energy. This does have limits though, as they can only use 25% of the natural energy stored within the curse mark, the rest has to come from the Jūgo's body.
