The Hideaki Clan

Clan Name: Hideaki
Clan Background:

The Hideaki’s "rich" history is just about enough to fill a single page in a book, maybe two. The reason is that they are simply a very young clan, this being only their second “generation.” The first generation was a sole shinobi named Hideaki Makuran. Makuran was a powerful and respected shinobi from the Fire Country, who nevertheless wasn’t able to compete with members of the Uchiha, Senju, Hyuuga or other powerful clans. Deciding to create his own unique ability, he moved to Takigakure, a smaller, more secluded place, and worked on his ability in secret. For about a decade he practiced the Godai Myoo,  his invention, establishing its limits and teaching it to anyone willing to learn it in order to create a clan for himself that could one day match the other clans. To this end, he ended up having seven disciples, all of them shinobi without a clan, and taught them the secrets of the Godai Myoo. Thus, the Hideaki Clan was born.

Makuran’s reign was short-lived, however. Spies from the Hyuuga found Makuran and realized his inventions could pose a threat. Thus the old shinobi was assassinated in his sleep. The spies returned to the Fire Country, but did not realize Makuran had taught his techniques to other shinobi. The Hideaki began growing in the shadows, attracting more shinobi, and nowadays stands as an ambitious upstart clan that wishes to prove themselves worthy.

Clan Description:

The Hideaki are generally very competitive and eager to prove themselves. Being an upstart young clan, one might say they have a bit of an inferiority complex towards older, more established clans. Anyone who dismisses them because of their short legacy, clanless or not, is bound to invoke the rage of the Hideaki. Among one another, Hideaki organization is quite loose. Still a reasonably small clan, their structure is built more on trust than on a set of defined rules. Hideaki members are generally  very individual, and members encourage one another to develop their own personalities and philosophies. Nevertheless, they are quite a close-knit community, protective and supportive towards one another but distrusting towards the outside world.

Due to their nature, one would think they are rebels who despise the established clans and their authorities out of spite for being what they are. While there is certainly some truth in that statement, they are generally friendly and even accepting towards other clans as long as they are treated with respect. They do not mind aligning themselves with other clans in order to increase their own power and fame, and are generally respectful and considerate as long as they feel that they are not being looked down upon.

Clan Characteristics: Clansmen generally do not have a specific set of looks other than their tattoo’s. Their builds, skin colors, hair colors and eye colors are widely diverse.

Kekkei Genkai Description:

The Godai Myoo isn’t as much a Kekkei Genkai as it is a Hiden Jutsu, one that can be taught to other clansmen but is kept a strict secret within the clan. The Godai Myoo manifests itself in the use of tattoo’s made of special ink that react to chakra and is specifically designed to react to the chakra of the user. These tattoo’s, once activated, spread to cover a specific part of the body (or extend the body) with a black, hard ink that is light to use yet powerful as steel. This substance is usually designed to create a specific pattern that becomes an extension of the user’s body.  Each tattoo is dubbed a “path” and is considered a Ninjutsu technique. Additionally, each path can have jutsu that revolve around it, manipulating it. Each path can only have up to five jutsu, and no jutsu must be of a higher rank than the path itself. For example:

C-4 to C-1 rank shinobi can only have one path, B-4 to B-2 can train up to two paths. B-1 and A-4 can have three, A-3 and A-2 can have four. Anyone higher can have five. Five paths is the maximum amount any Hideaki can achieve, and those who do are greatly respected and exalted within the clan, and are generally very powerful shinobi. Shinobi can have one path that is one rank higher than their letter rank. The rest needs to be equal or lower to their own rank. Shinobi of any rank can only have one S-rank path and 2 A-rank paths. Paths can later be “upgraded” to a higher rank in order to increase their deadliness. This requires one to pay half the price of a new technique of the rank the old technique is being upgraded to.

Users can automatically repair damaged paths without hand seals, which costs a third of the paths chakra.

Kekkei Genkai Techniques:

Due to the nature of this clan, many of its members develop their own paths and work on their own techniques and fighting styles based on those paths. As such, there are only a few general techniques that are taught to all members.
